Barry Moffett Joins Windwalker Expeditions
(CAVE CREEK, AZ) - PRCA, Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association champion, Barry Moffett of Payson, Arizona joins the Windwalker Expeditions Guide Team. A horseman for 40 years, Barry provides some of the finest Quarter Horses for our guests’ riding pleasure. A PRCA Championship Team Roper, Quarter Horse trainer and riding instructor, Barry brings a wealth of experience to Arizona’s equestrian community and Windwalker’s clientele.
Barry began his riding career at the age of four on the family ranch. A Rodeo scholarship brought Barry to Central Arizona College where he studied business. Following college Barry joined the PRCA, Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and Turquoise Tour competing for fifteen seasons in the Team Roping and Tie Down divisions. After successfully riding in the circuit finals for 10 straight years, the new millennium brought Barry to the IPRA, International Professional Rodeo Association where Barry competed in the finals for 8 straight seasons. The 2003 and 2004 seasons saw Barry compete in the United States Team Roping Championship, USTRC Finals in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
World Series Team Roping
You can see Barry compete in most 2010-2011 World Series of Team Roping Events, with his roping partner Jess Mann and his championship Quarter Horse, Smoke.
Horseback Guide
Barry provides clients with Western trained Quarter Horses and leads expeditions to the Black Canyon Trail in the Superstition Wilderness, the Camp Creek Trail, the McDowell Mountains and the Arizona Trail, Arizona’s National Scenic Trail.
